This site provides content, commentary, and other information related to the study of chanting in Theravāda Buddhism, with additional emphasis on the Amaravati style of chanting. In addition to the practice of chanting, it covers issues such as learning Pāli, studying the suttas, comparisons of Buddhist chanting to early Christian chanting, the history and practice of memorization, authenticity, ritual, impermanence, and other musicological subjects.

Although some musical terms are used, the chant explored on this site is not music.
